This conversation between the these two literary giants, Nikki Giovanni and James Baldwin in a special two-part presentation of Soul!, was taped in London in 1971.

The interview has been making the rounds on social media of late once more and it’s a great view into the life of Baldwin and at times, show the difference in the thinking of the pre and post civil rights black activists of the 1950s and 60s.
