After not feeling too hot over the weekend, I am back to winning ways again thanks to some rest, water and lemons. I find 30 degrees in the City is too hot, especially because it’s so built up. It’s fine if you’re in the country or by a beach but in a a concrete jungle it’s a little oppressive. Was looking for the thunderstorms Monday, Tuesday as they predicted but although we had rain overnight I didn’t hear any thunder and didn’t see any lightening. Still if you’re lucky enough to have a day off work when the weather is…

Last night I took a work friend of mine from India to the Student final show at Byam Shore, which is a college of the University of the Arts London. This image was taken there and shows some of the highly creative work that was on display by this year’s graduating class. This particular body of work was by an artist that based his work around the homeless. The images are in black and white save the eyes of the subject which are vivid, bright and clear. Your attention is drawn to the eyes which was the artists intention. He…

Thanks Style Bubble for alerting us to the “I’m not a smug twat” bag, designed apparently in opposition to the “I’m not a plastic bag”, the (supposedly) environmentally friendlier alternative to the plastic bag. I for one am getting a little peeved at the sudden “pressure” being brought to bear on us lowly types to reduce our carbon footprint, recycle or be damned (charged), by the “we’re only going to remove your rubbish once every fortnight”, brigade.

Last night I was in [tag]Brick Lane[/tag] in East London, after spending the day in a studio that was so cold, I prayed the last client would be a no show. She duly obliged and my assistant and I packed up and headed down to [tag]Exit Bar[/tag] to have a bite to eat and warm up a lot. Little did we know as we hurriedly walked to the train station – after a lovely Lamb Burger, two plates of chips and some hot bevvys – that the cold air which caused my lungs to feel under assault, and my teeth…

In front of the soon to be Bernie Grant Centre on Saturday was an artist completing a mural. Not being from around the area, at first I thought he was painting out graffiti, but was pleased to finally grasp that he was in fact creating a piece of public art for the enjoyment of everyone.

Yesterday was the first anniversary of London being awarded the [tag]2012 Olympic Games[/tag]. To mark the occasion, [tag]Trafalgar Square[/tag] was again the location for the celebrating and to the launch of the 2012 roadshow, a travelling promo bus that is to travel around the UK’s major cities promoting the games and sport for all. Many of the same celebrities where in attendance, Dame Kelly Holmes again was part of the official party and even the Prime Minister Tony Blair, Sports & Culture Minister Tessa Jowell and the Major Ken Linvingston where on hand to make speeches and try out some…

I was out by the Southbank in [tag]London[/tag] and took this picture. I liked the mans [tag]tattoo[/tag] design so I quickly snapped him. He looks determined as if he is on a mission. I can’t remember if he was looking at someone in particular or whether he was just glancing around him as he strode along the path to the side of the riverbank. As you can tell at the time we crossed paths we were just by [tag]Gabriels Wharf[/tag] where there is a nice Gourmet Pizza and some other fine eating places. This image was created using two separate…
