Well the big Christmas feasting is almost over but if you are still feeling cookie, then this recipe is a great one that I tried out and it tasted great. The pears I used were Italian, but any ripe pear will do. Not too soft though. What you need: 2 Pears 2 Tablespoons finest French Cognac / brandy 2 Tablespoons Ginger Wine (I used Stones Red label) 1 cup Demerera Sugar What you do: In a frying pan (or saute pan) add sugar, brandy and ginger wine to the pan on medium heat(don’t want to burn off the alcohol). The Soho branch of Metro photo lab, renowned for it’s film processing and production services for professional photographers and fast turnaround, is to close from Feb 1 2008 reports Amateur Photographer magazine today. The closure of the Metro’s Soho branch is said to be due to falling demand for film processing. Metro Imaging will continue to offer this service from it’s Clerkenwell branch, with a bike service to ferry film processing from Soho to it’s branch in Clerkenwell.

It was a hard game, with lots of crunching tackles, I lost count of how many yellow cards. One touch too many around the box football at one end, and Chelsea’s lack of creativity, a lack-lustre Lampard, injured Terry, lots of boos for Ashley Cole and one goal from the captain all contrived to give Arsenal a victory over their London rivals. We stay top. Job done.
