The 1807 act abolished the trading of slaves by British subjects and companies, it did not free enslaved Africans, in Britain nor it’s colonies.

In their debut feature, directors Jeff Zimbalist and Matt Mochary allow us to see inside the notorious ghettos of one of the world’s most fascinating cities.
